Wellness
At the Animal Hospital of North Fergus, we believe that prevention is the best medicine. The veterinary team at our clinic will work with you and your pet to customize a plan that is right for you, from the first days or weeks of life, through to their senior years.

From routine vaccines and parasite control to behaviour, nutrition, and pain control,
we encourage you to ask questions, and will strive to ensure that you are comfortable and confident with any medical decisions that are made on behalf of your pet. 

Surgery    

With over 40 years of combined experience in both general and emergency practice, our doctors and team are able to perform a wide range of surgeries with an emphasis on ensuring your pets safety and comfort every step of the way.

Spay and neuter, mass removal, wound repair, dental cleaning and extraction of diseased teeth, surgery of the eyes, digestive tract, bladder, and orthopedic procedures are just some of the types of surgery that can be performed at our hospital.


Illness
When your pet falls ill, it
can be a very stressful and emotional time. At our veterinary clinic, we are trained and equipped to perform a full range of diagnostic testing. From fecal and urine analysis, blood testing, cytology, and surgical biopsy, x-rays, and ultrasound, we can use our findings to help guide decisions regarding the  best treatment options for your pet.  

We will always take the time to explain what tests may be necessary and why. Our team understands that many people have a budget, and we will help guide you through testing  and treatment options.

Our resident cat whisperer and dog lover. With over a decade each of general practice and emergency care, Shannan has a calming touch and loves a surgical challenge!

The North Fergus animal hospital team are all fantastic. My wife and I take both our senior dog and cat to see them and they are so good with both of them. Our cat is very spicy and hates to be in her carrier and they are so good with handling her in difficult situations. And our dog is very high energy and on leash reactive and they have no issues navigating the unique needs and difficulties of our pets. They always do a great job of making sure we understand everything going on with our pets and are very clear about different treatment options available to us for any given situation. This past year they diagnosed our dog with a heart murmur and were amazing in getting us referred to a specialist and following up on his treatment plan.
